To the Inns of Court,
I am writing to apply for the Speed Moot Co-ordinator position as I believe this role will suit me the best and that I have the required skills. It has always been my dream to become a barrister and this is the main reason why I am studying Law. Mooting has always given me a taste of what barristers do in court and I love taking part in every opportunity to moot provided by the Inns and the Law Society. Other than the compulsory mooting, I have participated in speed moots in my first year and I was also a speed moot judge in my second year. Currently, I am competing in the internal moot competition. I believe it is essential for every law student to participate in moots. If I am selected, I will prepare the first year students for their compulsory mooting but I will also work hard to organize the speed moot competitions as well as to prepare and encourage all students to participate in the internal and external moots. As I am a mentor at the University, I have an experience to prepare students for competitions and their studies. I have also worked at the Arkin Colony Hotel as a public relations assistant where I gained experience by organising events for the hotel, I believe this experience will be helpful whilst organising the moot events. I have also worked in a law firm as an intern for a month and I would love to pass on all my experiences to other students. Getting involved with the Inns of Court will give me the opportunity to contribute to the Law school and the experience I will gain is priceless.
