Recently, you may have seen, heard or read a lot about the recent Union Council motion which was passed in favour of a £2100 ‘referendum’ on the issue of keeping Hartley library open for 24 hours all year round.
Law students undoubtedly make significant use of the library, so we want to know what you, as legal scholars, think about the proposed plans.
For the time being, we’re going to stay out of the debate and don’t wish to express a view on it. It is clear from the discourse on social media and the like that both the decision to hold a ‘referendum’, and the decision to keep the library open, are highly contentious.
So take a moment to look at the linked articles, find out a bit more about the issue and tell us what you think!
The ‘referendum’ will take place on Friday 30th October from 00:01 until 20:00. At that time you can vote officially at http://www.susu.org/vote.
